Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation Review!

Hello Everyone,

So today I will be talking about, the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I picked up mine in Superdrug for £8.99, you can check it out here. I'd heard great things about it and wanted a foundation in my SPF so thought I would give it a look see. I got mine in shade 100 - Ivory. I read a lot of reviews that said this foundation tends to oxidise and go darker so I was a bit worried about that but since the colour selection had darker colours available I just chose the lightest available as that is what I usually do. This foundation comes in at 30ml or 1floz and comes in a glass container with a pump to access the foundation. The glass casing makes the foundation seem more expensive than what it is and even has Rimmel London in raised writing on the glass. I usually don't like pump foundations as they are annoying when you want to get those very last bits out however I do like the shape and colour of this so I will let it slide!

On the back of the product Rimmel claim that this foundation 'visibly reawakens and illuminates skin with a radiant glow and a flawless natural looking finish'. They also claim it has 'instant anti fatigue effect'. The foundation also contains SPF 15 which is always a positive.

What I find interesting about this foundation is it seems to react so differently with everyone! I went on the site makeupalley.com to have a look at a few reviews and there didn't seem to be a lot of common consensus about the foundation. A lot of people said it was the best thing ever and then a lot of people said it made them so shiny and glittery. I didn't realise till I read the review that the 'radiant glow' Rimmel claim is gained from this shimmer they have added to their product. I bean to worry for my oily T-zone then but to my surprise this foundation fits my skin really well! The colour didn't oxidise at all on my skin and the foundation actually became a nice matte finish after application. It did have a nice radiant finish though that left my skin looking fresh!

Another comment that I noticed from people was on the scent of the product. This product to me has a citrus type smell and since I love those smells I loved this. However some people didn't like this so I would stay away if you don't like scented products or citrus type smells. My biggest worry was that the scent would make my sensitive skin go mad but actually it didn't!

The foundation for me didn't really change until the 6 hour mark where I did need to re-blot with the Stay Matte powder. Other than that I really did feel it make me look fresh face. It also allowed for a good base for the rest of my make-up. It lasted up to 8 hours on this day but I had a previous day where it managed to last for 12 hours wear! I would say this is a medium to full coverage foundation that would be good for Normal or dry skin but less so for Oily skin.

One tip I would give is to use a brush, from reviews I've seen and read people don't seem to get a flawless finish from using their hands so its best to use a foundation brush if you have one available to you.

Lets have a look at the positives and negatives of this product:-

Positives:
  • Average drugstore foundation price, won't break the bank but not the cheapest
  • Average size
  • Container is lovely and has a nice finish to it
  • Citrus smelling (could be a negative to some though)
  • Has SPF 15
  • Provides a fresh look to the face but with a matte application
  • Has around 8 hours wear
  • Good for dry to normal skin types
Negatives:
  • Some skin types may find this is way too much for their skin and it may go shiny
  • Some may not like the citrus smell
  • The pump is a negative for me as you can't ever get those last bits out of the container!
  • I wouldn't recommend this for Oily skin

Overall I really like this foundation and would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable foundation.

Until we speak next time!

SYCAMAW Audrey Green Dress Review!

Hiyya Lovelies :)

Today I will be talking about a company called "SYCAMAW" and the lovely "Audrey Green Dress" they sent me previously. This dress retails at £128.00 but has recently been put to £65.00.

I first came over this clothing brand on the popular Twitter, where they were asking for female bloggers to review there clothing. I kindly wrote a tweet post to them telling them I would love to review there clothing and they kindly direct messaged me back asking for my states and YouTube channels ect. Now they were looking for higher bloggers but I explained that I've only just started getting used to blogging and promised I would give them a review as soon as possible. Unfortunately my laptop broke and I did have to get it fixed so this post is very late but I did direct message them on twitter to explain my situation and they understood fully.

Anyway enough of the rambling on I'm going to get straight on with the dress.

** Sorry the picture quality isn't great it's the only picture I could find**

The "Audrey Dress" is a graceful knee length which is perfect if your wearing it for the Spring season or even the Summer season. It has a open back and a lovely big bow (which you can currently tie or untie yourself). I really like this "pretty" dress as it suits my body shape perfectly. It features a higher then usual neck line which I adore as I don't like showing much of my chest area off.

The dress is made of polished Polycotton fabric, which feels so soft but heavy which is the only down fall to this dress. I have currently tried this dress on and it feels a little heavy on my shoulders but it flows nice and elegantly on the knee length skirt part.

I got my dress currently in a size 12 but there's a variety of sizes from size 10 to 16.

"The model wears a size 10, and is 5ft 8 inches tall"-SYCAMAW

Now I'm only 5ft tall so this dress is a little longer then the knee length for me but that's doesn't really bother me as I totally adore this dress. The only downfall on this dress as i said is that its a little heavy on the shoulders.

Overall I think this dress is perfect to wear if your going out for a meal with your loved ones/one OR even to wear as a little statement dress when your on holiday just to flattener your body off.

I defiantly recommend you to go over and check SYCAMAW out as I am now a huge fan of their clothing.

Here's the link to this dress- http://www.sycamaw.com/collections/dresses/products/audrey-green

Also go and check them out on Twitter- @SYCAMAW

Until then.

Pooch&Mutt Treats Review!

Hiyya Everyone,

Welcome back to another review. Today I will be reviewing the "Pooch and Mutt Fresh Breath Treats". Pooch and Mutt kindly asked me if I could review there "Fresh Breath Treats" out and I took the opportunity. So before I start I want to say a great big thank you from me and my dogs to "Pooch and Mutt".

LET'S GET STARTED!!

So to start of with I like the colour and design of the tube-great colour-It's simple and eye catching, but I would say that the small writing is a little hard to read on the light background.
The best part of this treat is that it’s ethical, natural, hypoallergenic and grain free. Also the fact that free run chicken is used is a major plus point for me. The treat is nutra-bionic, this means that it contains supplements for joint and digestive health as well as vitamins and minerals. Therefore a healthy treat for my dogs. This particular treat is for fresh breath, my dogs don't particularly have bad breath but I use this to prevent any problems arising.
When I opened the tube my dog's Rocky &Tigger came straight over to see what I had. Rocky ate the treat very fast which is their version of a big thumbs up, but Tigger put her nose up to them and walked away (she is a very fussy eater). It must be tasty as it brings the Rocky back in from the garden when I call him while shaking the tube! A very good sign!
The company itself are lovely and so are the staff. They are willing to answer any inquiries that you bring up and go about it in a good manner. This matters to me because I would not want to buy from a company who are impolite about anything or take forever to reply to your inquiries. Where as Pooch & Mutt are well organised and know what they are doing and how to handle situations. A pat on the back to all the staff who work for Pooch & Mutt for creating such a fantastic product and all the friendly staff.
From what I know of there are a few other kinds of treats which are thee "Move Easy" & thee "Calmed & Relaxed" "Feel Good" "Brain & Train" "Digestion & Wind" and "Puppy Development" as well as the "Fresh Breath". They all retail at £2.99 a tube or 6 tubes for £15.99 on the Pooch & Mutt website. There are 150 bone shaped treats in each tube.
Overall I would definitely buy these treats again.

Until then!

Water Wipes Review!

Hiyya Everyone,

Today I'm going to be doing a review for people who are "Mummy's" and people with "Sensitive Skin"like me.

Basically I came across "Water Wipes" at my local Boots store and really wanted to try them out.  However due to time I was unable to pick them up as I was low on money and had an interview the same day.  I am very wary about using wipes on my skin after a certain brand of wipes, who will remain anonymous, caused all the skin to fall off my face even though I had purchased the fragrance free and sensitive variety.  I contacted "Water Wipes" and asked them politely if I could review there wipes and explained the situation I had before with the other wipes. They kindly sent me a pack of their 60 wipes "Water Wipes" along with a 24 wipes "sensitive make up remover wipes".

As a general rule when I am at home I use either cotton wool and water or my "poundland" "Pure" wipes.  When I am out and about I tend to use more disposable wipes and it is for this purpose I looked at Water wipes.  Water wipes contain two ingredients 99.9% purified water and 0.1% fruit extract, no chemicals, see this comparison charts for chemicals in other wipes [I was shocked].  They are suitable from Newborn, are non-irritant and are the only baby wipe approved by allergy UK.  For me on paper they ticked all the boxes of a wipe I was searching for.

When I was sent a these products to try I could not wait.  I was really happy with them.  I thought the wipes might be cold and wet and dripping with water.  Not true at all.  The wipes feel lovely and soft and yes they are wet but not dripping and no more so than other wipes.  They feel a lot thicker than other branded wipes and as a result I am using less-which is amazing!

Also my partner suffers with really bad eczema and has found it hard using certain products on his skin meaning we have to buy special expensive wipes for him to wipe his skin when we are out. When he tried the "Water Wipes" out he said his skin felt amazing and wasn't dry at all-unlike the other wipes made it.

Overall I am thrilled with these wipes.  They do the job perfectly, are lovely and soft and both me and my partner are happy to use them.  I will be certain to purchase these in the future.  No more searching for the perfect wipe to use when out and about. Mission accomplished!

Water wipes can be purchased from Amazon, Boots, Ocado, Kiddicare and other selected retailers.

Until then!

Zeo Carbonated Soft Drink Review!

Hello Lovelies,
Firstly I want to say I am very sorry for there not being a blog post in a while. I've been very caught up in moving and my YouTube channel and also been in hospital so I haven't had time to review and didn't really have nothing to review to be honest. But now I'm back with a brand new review for you.

So about a three or four ago I contacted a company called "Zeo". Unfortunately when I contacted them myself they didn't have anything that I could review. Then about 2-3 weeks ago I had a email from "Zeo" asking I if would review their products for them as they have revamped there company, and of course I said yes.

So here are the products "Zeo" sent me. These are glass bottles which I am not very keen on but it is a very sturdy packaging.

"Zeo" make delicious, lightly carbonated fruity drinks that come in six different flavors. I was lucky enough to be sent the Peach and Grapefruit, the Zesty Lime and the Blood Orange and Citrus flavors.
The lovely people at "Zeo" recommended I chill them before drinking so as soon as I got them, I popped them in the fridge and waited patiently for them to chill.

Zesty Lime- The zesty lime flavor didn't really have much taste to it and tasted a little watery. So I didn't really like this one much. The colour of the drink was a nice cloudy colour which represented the lime.I give this flavor 3 stars out of 5 ***.

Peach & Grapefruit- This one was my favorite. It was had a strong but not over powering flavor and taste's amazing on a nice hot summers day(I drank this one on a boiling hot day). The only down side to this flavor is that you could taste more peach then you could grapefruit, which i wish you could taste both combined together. The colour of this drink was coppery reddish colour. I give this 4 stars out of 5 ****.

Blood Orange & Citrus- This flavor had a very strong citrus taste which I didn't like at all. If it was a sweet citrus taste then I may of liked it a bit more. Also you can't really taste the orange in it which is kind of disappointing. The colour of this drink is a nice light orange colour. I give this 2 out of 5 **.

There are 6 flavors,which are:-
  • Peach & Grapefruit
  • Zesty Lime
  • Blood Orange & Citrus
  • Mixed Berry
  • Spiced Cola
  • Cloudy Lemon
I really want to try the "Spiced Cola" as I love cola flavored stuff.

You can get this flavors in 275ml bottles, 750ml bottle known as "share size" bottles & 250ml cans.

Here's a link for a 50p off coupon for 275ml bottle-  http://www.drinkzeo.com/discount-voucher-275/

You can purchase "Zeo" from Ocardo ranging from £2-£5-

I just want to say thank you to "Zeo" for letting me take this opportunity to try their products out. I really enjoyed putting my taste buds to the test.

If you are wanting a little bit more information about "Zeo" then here's there website- http://www.drinkzeo.com/

Until then!

Laura Geller Review!

Heeey Guys,

Today I will be writing a review about 3 beauty products which I've been trying over the past few days and thought I'd share them with you.

I recently got hold of the company 'Laura Geller' which is currently a "make up" organisation. They are a very high brand but there products are amazing.

Here's all Laura Gellers Information

 http://www.laurageller.com/

I wasn't 100% sure if the company would accept bloggers as they are such a high brand but lucky they did and I got accepted and I am very happy.

The lady I spoke to was called Rachel and she was really lovely so I just want to give a HUGE shout-out to her for accepting my request and for being lovely.

Also want to say a big thank you to Laurel who took over when Rachel wasn't available.

When Rachel contacted me she was lovely enough to let me pick the products I wanted to try.

So I went for 3 things that I knew I would use on a everyday bases.

As you can see by the picture above I currently picked a primer, foundation and concealer.

The foundation and concealer are baked and the packaging is a nice marbled effected ( as you will see by pictures further on in the blog post) and is just beautiful.

I am going to review each product separately so that you guys know my thoughts and feelings on the products. Also there will be links to each product available and also the RRP.

Laura Geller Spackle Classic Make Up Primer

"Revive your skin with Laura Geller's best-selling Spackle® Under Make-Up Primer, which retexturizes the surface of your skin to achieve a flawlessly smooth finish.Spackle® is made with natural plant extracts and the powerful anti-oxidants, White Tea and Centella Asiatica Extracts. These ingredients protect the skin along with Aloe Vera Gel. Spackle® also helps the skin retain moisture, feel softer and look smoother. It is lush, incredibly lightweight and suitable for all skin types."- Laura Geller

So if you are into make up you know that a lot of primers are for using under your foundation to make it last a little longer during the day and to give the foundation a smooth base.

The content was cloudy with an iridescent shimmer. It felt a little oily on the back of my hand but I'm not one to jump to a conclusion quickly so thought to test it on my skin first.

I wasn't really keen of the oiliness of the primer on my skin to be honest with you, I was hoping it was going to have a consistency of a moisturiser.

You don't need much of this primer as it is very spreadable so a little bit goes a long way. It takes a while to sink into the skin which I personally don't like as sometimes when I do my make-up I'm usually in a rush and don't have time to wait around.

On a positive note it really holds the foundation in place. I found my foundation lasted a lot longer then it usually would do. I find that it lasts about 8-9+ hours depending on the weather. A drug-store dupe for this I would say for the amount of time it holds the foundation, would be 'Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer'. This primer is the same as it holds the foundation on for a lot longer then other primers out there and is also a affordable one if you cannot afford the Laura Geller one. If you are looking for a more oil based primer then I definitely recommend this primer to you. wouldn't recommend Spackle to those with oily/combination skin thou. I would only recommend it to women with dry skin as it gives a complete moisture boost and seems to work better on dry skin.

Packaging wise is very simple. It comes in a clear squeezable tube with a black lid along with the Laura Geller logo on it and red lips-which if I was in stores and seen this I could guarantee it wouldn't really make me want to buy it as its a tad boring to me as I like my 'bright' 'eye-catching' packings, which is a shame because the product is so good.

I give this primer a 4 out of 5 stars ****

RRP: $32.00/ £21.92

Laura Geller Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation- Porcelain

"The next generation of Baked, now in a full-coverage liquid formula! Loose pigments are coated in Almond Oil, then baked in Italy on terracotta tiles to create perfect spheres of color that lay evenly on skin. Blended with skin-loving, moisturizing ingredients, this foundation delivers weightless, creamy color correction with a natural skin finish. The long-wearing, streak- free formula leaves skin glowing and healthy looking - like radiance in a bottle!"-Laura Geller

The next product I want to talk about is the foundation.

The packaging to the foundation is amazing, I find it really attractive. It has a marbled look to the lid which is my favourite and is so gorgeous.  The bottle is glass so you do have to be careful if your going to be carrying it around in your make up bag as it may smash and that's something you don't want happening. This also has the Laura Geller Logo on.

So the formulation is baked with colour correcting pigments which really help with my skin as I do have a lot in-colouration going on. It also contains almond oil as well as other hydrating ingredients.

Personally I find this foundation very low coverage. I've read many reviews saying that it's a 'high coverage foundation' but my perspective is that its doesn't give much coverage unless you layer it- which I'm actually pretty upset about as it sounded amazing by reviews I've seen online.

The texture runs very creamy and thick and is very easy to blend. The colour I got is 'Porcelain' which is a tad be lighter then my skin but to be honest I really like it as it makes my skin look healthy. Sometimes I like mixing the foundation with my moisturiser just to make it tinted and it works amazingly. The downside to this product is that you MUST use press powder to set it after or else it will get on to your clothes and is horrendous to get off- which I personally hate in a foundation to be honest.

The wear of this product is okay. If you wear the foundation without a primer it doesn't really stay on that long. I find that it "melts" off your skin within 3-4 hours and makes your skin look patchy and horrible which in a 'high-end' foundation really sucks because I'd expect it to last a lot longer then that for the price of it. If you wear it with a primer I find that it holds a lot better and lasts longer during the day- I'd say about 6-7+ hours, depends on where your going and what you are doing.

For someone who has dry skin I do find that it gives my skin a little moister but not much.

Overall thou its a nice light foundation- not the best coverage but I can personally forget about that after applying powder.

I give this foundation a 4 out of 5 stars ****

RRP:- $38/ £26.23

Laura Geller Radiance Cream Concealer- Porcelain

"Color correcting under eye perfection – in a pot! This first ever Baked cream concealer doesn't settle into fine lines & wrinkles. Designed specifically to conceal and brighten dark circles and hydrate the delicate skin around the eye, with botanical oils and treated pearls to create a subtle luminescence, this innovative formula delivers creamy, concealer perfection that makes eyes look fresh, youthful and radiant!"- Laura Geller
Photo taken of the debenhams website.

So the last product I am going to talk about is the concealer.

The packing of the concealer is the same as the foundation. It has a marbled effect lid to it which yet again I find gorgeous. It's in a glass tube so again you do have to be careful carrying it around in your make up bag as it can smash. This also has the Laura Geller Logo on.

Formulation wise, It's a nice creamy constancy which is always good in a concealer as I hate it when they are very stiff to apply.

I have to say I really do like this concealer. Yet again I got this in 'porcelain' which is a really nice light shade and is great for brightening up your eye area. The concealer gives great coverage which is brilliant as I suffer with dark circles under my eyes and usually a lot of break outs.  I find that applying this product with a brush is much better then applying with your fingers because you can more of the product- even thou you only need a pea size dot on each area. It's very bendable which is amazing especially for the eye area.

Same as the foundation, you will have to use a primer with this concealer as I find if you don't it kind of like "moves around" your face- basically "melts off". With a primer it gives its full benefits of covering dark circles, pimples and also I found it covers my pores on my nose as well. You can wear the concealer under or over the top of the foundation either way it compliments the foundation really well and still gives amazing coverage.

Overall I love this concealer and I've got to say its my new favourite concealer in my whole concealer collection.

I give this concealer 5 out of 5 stars *****

RRP:- $24/ £16.58

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Review!

Hiyya Everyone,

Today I am writing a review for the 'Bondi Sands' tanning foam and spray. I recently contacted them asking if I could review their products. I've never tanned in my life as I am so scared of using the stuff in-case I turn out like a orange but  I heard so many good reviews on their products I decided to give them ago and I was surprised with the results.

Bondi Sands is an Australian brand that had a vision of ensuring everyone could have a salon quality tan at home and at an affordable price.

Self Tanning Mist

So the first product they sent me was their 'Self Tanning Mist' in light/medium.

Since I'm a chicken, I just tried the Self Tanning Mist on my legs first to see if I could make this work. I had been worried about walking around with that awful potato smell thanks to the tanning mist, but it has a Coconut scent which actually conceals any trace of the self tanning that has occured.

The spray nozzle was really easy to aim at my legs but I foolishly started at the bottom and worked my way up to my knees and hips. I would recommend doing it the other way because then you don't over-tan your ankles when the spray sinks towards the floor. Because I am an impatient lass I only had the Self Tanning Mist on for an hour, but you can leave it on for six hours to get a darker tan. You can also re-apply the Self Tanning Mist 30 minutes after the first application to get an even more intense result.

Seeing as I am a fan of the natural look I loved the result of my quick tanning hour session. It was so easy, a beautiful coconut fragrance followed me everywhere I went and my legs felt moisturized thanks to the Vitamin E that the Self Tanning Mist is infused with.
I was so pleased with how easy it was to achieve and how much better my legs looked. They literally glowed.

I used two coats of the mist and I didn't have to do any touch-ups and it was all so simple. I'm happy to say that I am no longer scared of self tanning! I like having the Self Tanning Mist up my sleeve for when I want the to tan up in a quick flash since the perfect tan can be achieved in an hour.

The Bondi Sands Self Tanning Mist is suitable for all skin types, retails for £14.99 in Superdrug and on their website.

Self Tanning Foam

The next product  they sent me was their 'Self Tanning Foam' in light/medium.

The first thing I noticed when using this tan was the fantastic you-could-eat-it scent. Instead of that classic fake tan biscuit like smell, this stuff smells like a thousand coconuts. Even after I had applied it, my bedroom smelt like coconut for days. 10/10 for the scent.

So here's what the foam looks like on the mitt. Being a usual gradual tan girl, I was quite scared when I applied this foam to my leg which was 10 shades darker than my skin. But don't fret, you wash it off. I started on my legs, using the residue for my feet, then I worked my way up my back, tummy, chest, arms and neck and finally a tiny bit on my face. I would say the foam is easily spreadable if you're quick with it, however if you notice a streaky patch a few minutes later, it can be quite difficult to blend, requiring more tan to even it out. After 1 hour I washed it off and I had a very light tan.

The next time however, I tanned before bed and slept in it, washing it off the following morning. This gave me a much more deeper tan. I love the fact you can adapt the tan to your own preference, having a light glow to a deep tan with the same product. One thing that I also noticed was whilst the tan was settling, it wasn't totally dry. When I sat on the toilet seat I left marks from my tanned backside (it did come off the seat), and a bit on my bedding. This isn't too much of a problem because the whole point is to rinse it off, but I would recommend wearing loose clothing after applying the product. On the upside, the product isn't at all sticky, and you can pretty much carry on as normal. To be honest, I think all the faff is worth it for a beautiful outcome! It's very even, no funny smells, not too orange, and even looks natural. I can finally see what all the fuss is about. Another factor I love is that this lasts a good few days, possibly even a week without re-applying. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a salon quality self tan, and I would say the price is worth it. I will definitely carry on purchasing the Bondi Sands tan. You can purchase this at Superdrug and their website for £14.99.

And that's all the products they sent me.
I hope you enjoyed reading this 'little' blog review, If you have tried these products I'd love to know your views on them.

Until then!
